The Earth is like a floating boat carrying all living beings. In order to tell the stories of the earth and fossils well and utilise the role of museums in popularizing science and conducting social education, on the occasion of the 56th World Earth Day, Hezheng Paleozoological Museum of Linxia UNESCO Global Geopark went to its Geopark School - Hezheng Xiguan Primary School to carry out a Earth-Day theme science popularization activity .

In the science popularization lesson, the staff detailed the establishment and significance of the World Earth Day, simply explained the importance of resource conservation and environmental protection through images and videos, which deeply enhanced the awareness of students on protecting the Earth and environment.

In order to further enhance the professional knowledge and etiquette skills of the school's young science popularization guides, a special training session for the little guides was held after the lesson. The docent teacher conducted scenario-based training on aspects such as hand gestures, standing and sitting postures. At the same time, these juniors gave a demonstration which earned continuous applause.

This time, we went into the Hezheng Xiguan Primary School to carry out the World Earth Day themed science popularization activities in a diverse form and rich contents, received strong support from the school and was warmly welcomed by the students. The implementation of the activities not only created a favorable promotional atmosphere for the establishment of a 5A-level scenic spot, but also deepened the cooperation between the museum and the school. In the future, we will continue to collaborate with Xiguan Primary School to jointly tell the story of fossils and enhance the brand influence of the regional tourism.
